Uncommon                 Gavel

- The Cornhusker -

Material: Figured Maple, Wenge, Bronze

A slightly softer interpretation of a broached thrunel, the head is made from torrefied figured hard maple.  The handle is wenge, and continuing the theme of the head, draws a softened inspiration from traditional repousse hammer handle shapes.  Decorative filed chamfers and gold leafed details bring the instrument together, along with engraved bronze disks.  This instrument was commissioned for and auctioned for charity at The Grand Lodge of Nebraska's Annual Communication in 2024.
