Uncommon                 Gavel

- The Hassel-

Material: Bubinga, Ebony

Meticulously hand-cut ebony veneers incorporating Gothic Window and eight-pointed star motifs set this instrument apart from the rest.  The veneers are overlayed on a unique cross-cut bubinga head which gives a stacked and banded effect.  The sounding block is of solid bubinga and solid ebony, with a special square motif symbolic of the Master's office.  This was a very labor intensive gavel, and while a machine may have done it faster or "better", handwork cannot be synthesized.
