Material: Cherry, Walnut

This instrument was inspired by a loving joke from the Brother it was crafted for.  Stylized "Y"s in figured cherry veneers adorn the four sides of the faced maul-shaped head.  The sounding block is sequence cut from the cherry used for the head, and the grain pattern continues from one to the next.  The handle is turned walnut terminating in an angled slice for a touch of interest and elegance.
